Bimetallic leadfree bullet having a carried internal arrow formed by one or several elements.
Refined profile imparting a direct trajectory and extraordinary accuracy.
Mechanical friction of the FIP bullet in the gun barrel thanks to the circular grooves made on the outer surface of said bullet. This innovating specificity, perfected in 1983 by inventor Jean-Claude SAUVERTRE, has already more than proved its worth in the "SAUVESTRE Arrow Bullet" for shotguns.
It also has other advantages :
Reduced muzzle velocity standard-deviation
Minimal gun barrel wear and low metallic or organic fouling of the barrel.
Almost total stopping power obtained by a triple effect of penetration, dilaceration
and hydrodynamic cavitation.
The highly technological and very specific design of the FIP bullet ensures that these three functions are carried out either simultaneously or independently according to an imposed operating chronology and to the mediun penetrated.
The fast but graduated expansion of the FIP bullet casing does not generate splinters in the main part of the hydrodynamic cavitation thus preventing the energy required for the formation of this main phase from being wasted. Only certain FIP bullets having high impact velocity can generate the detachment of the cap of the" mushroom" formed by the expansion of the bullet at the conclusion of the penetration phase without alteration of the venison, the essential function is fulfils upon hydrodynamic cavitation.
The Carried Internal Arrow, mounted in the casing of the FIP bullet and formed of one or several elements ensures the instantaneous destruction of any hard part found upon its trajectory. Moreover, the bullet largely contributes to the maximal penetration of such hard parts.
The dilaceration caused by the expansion of the FIP bullet, as well as the bullet's excellent stability during the hit are enough to stop any big game so as to firstly avoid alteration of the venison and secondly facilitate the blood flow both upon entry and exit of said bullet.
The FIP bullet will operate at any firing range, even for ranges of 300 metres and more. Safety of use thanks to its low tendency to ricochet.
